Howdy, yall, welcome to the Cantina!

"When you begin a cattle drive, you can't expect
to say you are finished until you have
visited a fancy woman and played some games..."
 ~ "Wild" Bill Hickok

Ok, ok...
So Ol' Bill Hickok actually said "games of chance", undoubtedly talking about his game of choice, poker, but look where poker got poor Bill! Our games of choice, pen & paper tabletop western role playing adventures, are much less deadly, though sadly much less profitable as well.

Anyway, this here blog is dedicated primarily to the Coyote Trail rpg, by the posse over at Precis Intermedia. All you need to get started is a copy of the rules, which they've got ready to download for a few bits and a song, as they say, and a couple plain old six sided dice, the kind that come in any board game you've ever played, or on the toy aisle at your local discount, drug or dollar store. Add some pencils and paper, and a fair bit of imagination, and the epic tales of the heroes and villains of the Wild West are yours to create and enjoy.

If you're partial to another western rpg, or you've just got an interest in the books, films, old tv shows or other games and toys related to the American Old West, you'll probably find most of the stuff here useful too, since a lot of my posting here will be "fluff", as they say in rpg circles; in other words, it'll be more about information and inspiration to help build your adventures than about the rules as written. And if there's something ya'll want to see, feel free and drop me a line and I'll try and oblige.
